Introduction
The MCM/LPM-TX is a small, high-performance,embeddable computer system on a single STD-Bus board. It integrates a number of popular I/O options including Solid-State Disk. Two PC compatible serial ports are standard, as are the floppy, hard disk, and parallel printer interfaces. The MCM/LPM-TX is populated with an Intel Pentium 166MMX. Up to 64MB of onboard DRAM, 512KB of pipeline burst, level two cache is also standard. A full 16- bit PC/104 expansion bus is provided for further expansion to an entire industry of add-on peripherals including sound and speech modules, SCSI controllers, Analog I/O modules, and literally hundreds of other options available from WinSystems’ and a variety of vendors supporting the PC/104 and PC/104-Plus standards. An onboard 32-pin silicon disk socket supports the M-Systems’ DiskOnChip Flash modules in sizes ranging from 8 Mega bytes to 288 Megabytes.
