Introduction

The HS-6237 is an Intel BX chipset based board designed for PCI_ISA/ISA bus Celeron / Coppermine compatibility. These features combine and make the HS-6237 an ideal all in one industrial single board computer. The onboard ATA/33 for mode 3 to IDE drive interface architecture supports a maximum data transfer rate of 33.3 MB/sec to a \single IDE drive connection. Designed with the Intel 82443BX/82371EB core logic chipset, the board supports all Celeron / Coppermine CPU series operating at 500MHz to 850MHz. The C&T 69000 CRT / Panel display controller offers n on chip 2MB memory that supports up to 1280 x 1024 x 2566 color display resolution. For suitable installation into any size system with 8/16/32-bit ISA and or PCI slots operation, the boards adavanced PCI-ISA bus add on feature allows users to easily obtain both ISAs 16 bit and PCIs 32 bit full set signals from a half size PCI-ISA slot. System memory is also sufficient with two DIMM sockets that can support up to 512MB. Additional onboard connectors include an advanced USB and IrSA ports providing faster data transmission, a DOS compatible DiskOnChip socket fight a maximum capacity of 288MB, and one external RJ-45 connector for 10/100 based Ethernet use. To unsure the reliable in an unmanned or stand alone system, the watchdog timer onboard HS-6237 / HS-6637 is designed with pure hardware that does not need the arithmetical functions of a real time lock chip. If any program causes the unexpected halt to the system,, the onboard watchdog timer will automatically reset the CPU or generate an interrupt to resolve such condition.
