Description

Optical Protection - Transmode offers optical protection units that enable fibre path redundancy on a channel-by-channel basis. These units are particularly well suited for protection in ring applications. The solution includes monitoring capabilities for both the working and protection paths. The monitoring is available through the Network Management System. In case of a fibre cut in the protecting path, traffic will be switched over to the protecting path in less than 50 ms.
