M8 (MEN MIKRO)

The M8 is based on the M-Module ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, PXI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers. The M8 is a standard interface to peripheral devices with IEC625 or IEEE488 interfaces. Due to the NAT9914 GPIB controller up to 15 connected peripheral devices can be polled in parallel or serial mode. The M-Module provides controller, talker and listener functions, it has automatic handshake and interrupt control. The M8 is an ideal choice for automated measuring systems. A special cable is available to convert the 25-pin IEC-bus connector of the M8 to a 24-pin connector/receptacle according to IEEE488.
