M49 (MEN MIKRO)

The M49 is based on the M-Module ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, PXI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers. The M49 is a step motor controller with power amplifier for two 2-phase motors. Each motor is controlled by its own powerful RISC-like microcontroller. The motor(s) are driven directly by two on-board power stages with up to 50V/3A for each phase. For both motors a binary input can be used to detect the home position of the motor. When the values for acceleration, speed and nominal position are defined, the M49 moves the motors on its own. Due to the trigger line, motions on several axes (X, Y, Z motions etc.) can be synchronized.
