M52 (MEN MIKRO)

The M52 is based on the M-Module ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, PXI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers. The M52 is a Centronics interface M-Module for bidirectional operation. The M-Module is based on a CL-CD1400 device. The CD1400 intelligence together with 30 bytes of FIFO for transmitter or receiver operation result in high data throughput and reduce the load on the host CPU. The M52 is used to connect printers, scanners, etc., and can also be applied to make a direct connection to a PC.
