M61 (MEN MIKRO)

The M61 is based on the M-Module ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, PXI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate M-Module carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers. The M61 is a step motor controller with power amplifier for one 4- or 5-phase motor. The motor is controlled by a powerful RISC-like microcontroller and is driven directly by five on-board power stages with up to 50V/3A for each phase. A binary input can be used to detect the home position of the motor. When the values for acceleration, speed and nominal position are defined, the M61 moves the motor on its own. Due to the trigger line, motions on several axes (X, Y, Z motions etc.) can be synchronized.
