P9 (MEN MIKRO)

The P9 is based on the PC-MIP ANSI mezzanine standard. It can be used as an I/O extension in any type of bus system, i.e. CPCI, PXI, VME or on any type of stand-alone SBC. Appropriate PC-MIP carrier cards in 3U, 6U and other formats are available from MEN or other manufacturers. With a high transfer rate of 1000Mbits/s, the P9 Ethernet PC-MIP is suited for high-end applications in networking technology. The P9 provides a 1000Base-T connection (alternatively 10/100Base-T) via a standardized RJ45 connector. The P9 comes with a direct 32-bit, 33/66-MHz interface to the PCI bus. It provides a standard IEEE 802.3 Ethernet interface for 1000Base-T applications through a fully integrated physical-layer circuitry. The communication is made with four pairs of Category 5 copper cable, being able to request data up to a theoretical 100 meters as explained in IEEE 802.3ab. Because of the high modularity of PC-MIP mezzanine cards the P9 is not only suited to equip a workstation with a powerful network interface, but it also allows you to set up multichannel repeaters, switches and routers.
