The ECTU replaces the legacy Channel Test Unit (CTU) to provide ATM switching, traffic management, and network interface functions, while preserving legacy CTU functionality. The simple, integrated approach of the CNX-5 Broadband DSL system, combined with its flexible network interface options, delivers the most cost-effective and scalable solution for providing DSL service to subscribers served by SLC-5 remote terminals
