Introduction

The AX5500P provides 12 counter/timer and 24 digital I/O channels. It plugs directly into any 32-bit PCI Bus. It used the most popular 8254 counter/timer chip to event counting, frequency measurement, pulse measurement and pulse generation. In addition, it also provides 24 channels DIO. The DIO function emulates a 8255 PPI (programmable peripheral interface) chip mode 0 in software. It could directly control OPTO-22 compatible I/O racks and modules through 50-pin ribbon connector. All the I/O channels are TTL-compatible and use 74LS244 driver/buffer chip to provide high output driver.
