Provides true start sequence regeneration and line synchronization. Each port has separate transceiver circuitry and is isolated from the other ports, so disconnecting or removing one device does not affect the other devices. Automatically compensates for speed differences among 5250 devices. Expansion slot and Slide-In-Cards (SICs) let you extend network distances even further. An optional modular Twinax SIC extends the total distance from the controller to each workstation to 1520 meters. Or the optional Fiber Optic SIC extends that distance to 3,000 meters.
